Full Journal pdf2007-05-10 House Journal Page 1245 HJR 12 The following, which was advanced to third reading from the May 9, 2007, calendar (page 1217), was read the third time: CS FOR HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 12(O&G) Urging the United States Congress to pass legislation to open the coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil and gas exploration, development, and production. Representative Thomas moved and asked unanimous consent that CSHJR 12(O&G) be returned to second reading for the specific purpose of considering Amendment No. 2. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 2 was offered by Representatives Johnson, Harris, Thomas, Lynn, and Gara: Page 3, line 17, following "standards;": Insert "and WHEREAS the continued competitiveness and stability of the state and its economy require that the Alaska State Legislature consider national trends towards renewable energy development; and WHEREAS the Alaska State Legislature encourages the use of revenue from any development in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for the development of renewable energy resources in the state;" 2007-05-10 House Journal Page 1246 Representative Thomas moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 2 be adopted. There being no objection, it was so ordered. The question being: "Shall CSHJR 12(O&G) am pass the House?"
